HOT TAKE-Tiger Woods and the Masters

It’s that time of the year again! The first Major of the year. And it’s the year of Tiger! Hot of winning the Tour Championship in 2018 and playing very exceptional in his first few tournaments of this year, Tiger is going to tee it up in just 1 week at the most hollowed ground in all of golf – Augusta National.

I have been a Tiger fan all my life and love that Tiger is back in good golf shape. Tiger brings that flare to the game of golf that not many people can. He has been essential to growing the game and tournaments just aren’t the same without Tiger Woods. In 2018 it was great to see him playing in tournaments again, but it was the first year after his back surgery and not much was expected. But this year he seems to be playing at the top of his game by consistently making cuts and placing on the top of the leaderboards. This is the year Tiger might finally pass Sam Snead on the all-time win list.

It has been almost 11 years since his last major win, and you know damn well he is itching for another win with how well he is playing. Now I don’t believe he will win four more majors to tie Jack at 18, but I think he has at least one more major win left in him and it would only be fitting to do it at Augusta. Even though I want Rory to complete the career grand slam, it would be an incredible moment to see Tiger win another major.

All-in-all, even if Tiger doesn’t do well or doesn’t win, the Masters is one of, if not the best, tournaments of the year. And it also kicks off the golf season around here too. In Minnesota, we only get 6 months (if we are lucky) to get out on the course and this year we got more snow that the last few years. So I’ve been just ITCHING to get out on the course and play some golf with my new clubs (TaylorMade M3) and driver (Cobra F9). We’ll see if the myth is right that you can buy a golf game. (fingers crossed)

When the Masters tournament approaches, so does the golf season. There is a lot of hype building around the tournament this year and there are a ton of great golfers teeing it up. I’m excited to watch and play!

Thanks for reading my golf story! Be sure to follow me on social media and, again, be on the lookout for the return on Twitch. Give me a follow to see when I go live again! It has been quite some time.

Oh my goodness. It happened! Tiger Woods has won the Masters and his 5th(!!!) Green Jacket. What an incredible tournament. It was a tight leaderboard the whole weekend and Tiger was able to keep a cool demeanor and play his game perfectly. What a great moment to witness this win and hopefully more to come! Congratulations Tiger Woods!
